A little about us, Coldwell Banker Bartels Real Estate was founded in 1973 by Don Bartels Sr. as an independent real estate company. The Bartels family arrived in Lakewood in 1956 to operate the Lakewood Cheese Factory, and then the Brook Farm, a dairy farm located on the McCauslin Brook. In 1964 part of the farm was converted to a nine-hole golf course with a second nine opening in 1975 that the family continues to operate. The real estate business was started in support of the golf course as lots were sold around the course. As the Lakewood area started to grow the real estate sales became a stand-alone business. Bartels Real Estate was purchased by Don Bartels Jr. and his wife Adriane (aka Gigi) From Don Sr. in 1995. In 1998 they purchased a Coldwell Banker franchise and the current company was started. Because of our long history of living and doing business in Lakewood and surrounding areas it is safe to say we are uniquely qualified to help you buy or sell property. We look forward to assisting you with your next real estate transaction.
